Plato
Lab mix, 7 years, Male
Sweet Plato has been with his family since he was a puppy. He has bright blue eyes and loves belly scratches and cuddles. Unfortunately, he has gotten more anxious in his older years and the family's two young children are causing him stress. When they aren't home, Plato does great and can always be found lounging on the couch. He recently nipped a toddler on the face, which is why we are trying to find him a new home. Though this was clearly a misbehavior, his family would not describe him as a generally aggressive dog. If they didn't have young kids at home, he would still be their wonderful adventure companion. While he does great with the other family dog, he can be unpredictable with new animals. He would do best in a home with adults and no other pets. His family loves Plato dearly and want him to find a home where he can be the happy and relaxed dog they know he can be.

Kona
German Shepherd/Lab mix, 2.5 years, Male
This is Kona! He is a two-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd Lab mix. He is house trained and up-to date on all vaccinations. Now, onto the fun part! Kona loves people and has never met a stranger he doesn't like. We have never had any accidents with him. He is also crate trained and will go to his crate with just the word "crate." He is a great listener! Kona is a dog on the more active side so he will get anxious without adequate space to play and run around. He will need an owner who is not gone all day. While he is an active dog, however, Kona also LOVES to cuddle and lounge around with his owners. He matches energy of his human very well. Everyone he meets says that he is the sweetest dog they've ever met. Kona has had bad experiences with dogs in the past, so he prefers to be the only fur child in the house. This is a requirement for his adoption, as he has had experiences with dog aggression and has been dog-aggressive in the past. He is not hostile, but he unfortunately does not play well with other animals anymore. Kona would also love a house with a fenced in yard, as he loves to be outside and run around. He would also like to live in a place where there are lots of different people to meet and be around. These are not requirements, but they would make him the happiest he could be. His owner is a college student who jumped the gun on getting a dog in their first year off-campus. They would keep Kona if they could give him the care he deserves, but their schedule does not allow them to be home much anymore, and their apartment is not big enough for him. ** Meet and greet before adoption required **

Tuffy
Pit Bull Terrier mix, 7 years, Male
If you are looking for a devoted, lovable dog...look no further. Let me introduce myself. My name is Tuffy or "old man" like my friends like refer me as... My perfect match would be someone who loves to cuddle and be my constant companion. I love to nestle under your feet or in your lap. I am a rescue dog, so I inherited some medical issues. I can get lonely at times, so I am a great travel companion and enjoy short or long rides. I take medication for my anxiety and inflammation in my hind legs. My favorite meal is chicken mixed with the hard stuff. LOL! I don’t mean to brag, but people tell me I’m a lot like Liam Hemsworth with captivating eyes and am completely devoted to those I love. When I am not admiring your every move, I'd love to be relaxing on my bed or watching TV. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties?

Taco
Plott Hound mix, 8 years, Male
Taco was adopted the day before he was set to be euthanized to prevent his untimely death. He is believed to be some sort of hound mix, likely Plott Hound. The person who saved him does not have space or adequate resources necessary to care for him long-term. Taco is a super sweet boy, with a lot of personality. He is 8-9 years old and weighs 89 pounds. He is good with men and women. He does not like cats and should not be around them. As for other dogs, sometimes he is indifferent, other times he’s interested. The shelter said that he doesn’t like kids, but it may be just younger ones. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered. He does not bark and is 100% housebroken. His Instagram is here: https://www.instagram.com/itsalwaystacotuesday/. You will be able to see more of his personality, which may aid you in your consideration. Taco escaped death and now it's time for him to find that loving family! If you are interested in adding him to your family or know of someone who might be, or even know of a rescue currently accepting dogs, please reach out asap. There will be a rehoming fee (to be determined if a serious adopter comes forward) and all medical records are provided.

Mama
Cat, Female
Mama is a sweet and loving cat. She was abandoned by her current people's neighbor and they’ve been caring for her ever since. She recently had kittens and all the kittens have been rehomed. Mama loves to be both inside and outside and is easily adaptable. Her people would commit to keeping her if they didn’t already have three cats of our own and a dog on the way!

Shiloh
Great Pyrenees, 9 years, Female
Shiloh is a big and sweet senior ready to love a new family. He's in a tough situation: Shiloh’s beloved dad died a few months back and living with his mom isn’t working well for either of them. Shiloh is used to a large yard where he can go out on his own and venture around and come and go as he pleases. He is used to coming inside at night. After being accustomed to this life he had to move to a townhome with minimal yard due to declining health of his dad. Now what he knows is a very small yard if anything and a completely new lifestyle. His owner can’t care for him to keep him happy. There have been two occasions where he got out at his townhome and his female owner went to get him and bring him back in by grabbing his collar and he nipped her so please understand that. It's believed the issue he has is confinement and not being able to venture freely. Shiloh lives with two cats that he does really well with. He has not been around other dogs in years. Shiloh is in need of a new home that can give him what makes him happy- a yard (preferably fenced in), time outside, calm and easy-going life, and possibly only pet. Having a vet established in important as he is a senior. He is not currently on any medications and has no ailments.

Bella
American Pit, 3-4 years, Female

Thor
Cat, 11 years, Male
Thor weighs 6.10 lbs. He's a very sweet personable cat. He very social and will just come up and lay on you or in your lap. He likes to be stroked and loved on. He's older so he doesn't run around and play much. Thor's owner is 85 years old and has dementia. They can no longer properly care for the cat. Thor has a Thyroid Condition that can be treated with Medicated Food (Hills Y/D thyroid food) but his owner cannot remember to only feed him that. They continue to feed him human food as well which negates the medicated food. Thor eats well but is thin because of his condition. Occasionally he struggles to use the litter and he's been shaved down to stay clean. This problem will resolve over time if he is properly medicated. He's a wonderful cat that a new owner would enjoy once he's nursed back to health.

Hades
Mastiff/Pit, 2 years (DOB 1/1/2020), Male
What Hades has to say: Hi there! My name is Hades. I am a handsome, loving and goofy mastiff pit mix. I am approximately two years old and 90 pounds. I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations, neutered, micro chipped and have no known health issues. I am house trained kennel trained and love big cuddles, playing fetch or just chilling with my people or dog friends. I am very social and love meeting new people. I am mostly a beautiful brindle coloring. If you’re looking for a big cuddle bug who is searching for his person/persons, I’m your guy!
What Hades' owner has to say: Hades is sweet, playful, sensitive, and eager to please. He is happy to follow his owner or dog pals around and is a very easy-going loving guy. He loves to be a lapdog and gives lots of big heavy cuddles. Hades needs to be rehomed due to marital separation, which includes the selling of our home and moving into separate apartments that don't allow Hades' breed. We are trying to do everything we can to find him a safe loving home before the sale of our house.

Bullet
Mastiff Mix, 4 years, Male
This sweet boy is named Bullet. He was named by the rescue he came from because he was a small, dark, slow puppy - the irony! Bullet loves to lay around and do nothing, but at the same time is very curious! Enough to get up and explore the noise. He is such a cuddle bug. Very good around people and also a licker, so if you don’t mind slobbery kisses, then he is the dog for you!

Black cat, Unknown age, Female
A sweet female black cat, 7 1/2 lbs, recently gave birth (approx 4-5 wks ago). She wandered up on her caretaker's property and was found under their walk-in deck area with two babies. They were able to bring her and her babies onto their screened porch and she is living in an open door cat condo. She is very loving and attentive to her babies. Loves to be petted, rubbed and talked to. She uses the litter box. She is not microchipped and no one has claimed her. Her caretaker plans to spay her as soon as she has weaned her babies. She also will get vaccines. Looking for a home for her after this is done. She is good with other cats as she had a young 5 lb black male with her. He is also living on the screened porch. She is believed to be a young cat but there will be more info on her after she has been to the vet.

Young black male wandered up on their caretaker's property with another black cat and her kittens several weeks ago. They were able to get him on their screen porch and he is now safe on the porch. There is a cat condo he is staying in with open door. He plays most of the day, chasing his toys. He is 5 lbs and loves to be held and rubbed. He is not microchipped and an owner was not found. He uses his litter box. Good appetite. He loves to play with the other cat and her kittens. He is being neutered on 5/19. Vaccines will be given. Looking to find a good home for him.

Hemi
Mixed breed, 11 months, Male
Hemi is a mix breed 11 month old male. He may have some Jack Russell in him. He has a lot of energy. He is used to crate sleeping and goes to the door to use the bathroom. Hes a sweet boy! His family's teenage daughter snuck him in her room a couple months ago but the care taking has fallen to the parents. There are four other dogs in the home and there's not enough time to love or train him properly, nor enough finances for vet care. Hemi deserves a home where he can be given the attention and care he needs.

Mees
Cat, 14 years, Male
Mees is 14, almost 15 years old. He’s been his owner's companion since college. It is a hard decision to rehome him, but his owner's daughter is very allergic to him and has another baby coming any day. He is somewhat afraid of kids and other animals. He’s always been the only pet. He’s never lived outside and is declawed in the front. He would be a wonderful sidekick as he loves keeping his owner company.
