charlee.jpeg

Charlee

Mix, 7 months, Male

We adopted Charlee in July, so he has been with us a couple of months. Prior to him, we have had only two dogs the last 18 years. One died at 13 and one died at 5 of lung cancer. Charlee is a sweet, loving dog. He likes to play and do puppy-ish things, but he is happiest when he can lay beside someone for an extended period of time. He shows signs of anxiety when he is anywhere except a couple of places in our home. When he is outside, he will play for a bit, but always seems focused on the door to get back in the house. As for us, we have realized that a dog like Charlee requires a more rhythmic and structured home than ours. We have two teen children with varied schedules, and the three adults in the home basically have a different schedule every day as well. When we had our other dogs, the kids were younger and we were able to be more accommodating, but this experience has shown us that we are not in a place to offer the best home to a dog like Charlee who needs a balance of fun and zen, within a space (or spaces) he feels at ease. He is a beautiful dog and honestly, we hate re-homing him. But at the end of the day, our home is not the best fit for his personality and what would suit him most. Hoping so much that he will find his forever home via this platform.

luna.jpeg

Luna

Staffordshire Terrier, 5 years, Female

Cuddly couch potato urgently in need of a forever home. Probably allergic to chicken. Currently doing well on a grain free, limited ingredient, diet. Clean bill of health after a recent mast cell removal. Crate and potty trained. Does ok on leash. Likes to chase squirrels and cats. She's unsure about deer and some dogs. Loves to take in all the smells on walks. Gets super excited when playing tug of war. Loves to curl up on sofa and watch cartoons, particularly anime. Has only lived with humans. Definitely not recommended for a a household with cats. Her reaction to other dogs is inconsistent. Has shown promise with training. Comes with all her worldly possessions. (crate, toys, blankets, pillow, bowls, etc.) Not asking for a rehousing fee, just trying to help a friend that became unhoused.

poot.jpeg

Poot

Cat, 2 years, Female

I found Poot outside underneath my car 2 years ago. She was sick and I knew I had to take her with me. Her name was chosen by my friend who was in a terrible wreck when I told her she could name my new cat anything she wanted. Before Poot, I had my cat Kiwi for two years. Unfortunately, they still do not get along like I had hoped. Poot can be food defensive and is incredibly playful, which my previous cat does not like. I have to separate them almost every day. Poot is an incredibly loving and curious cat, but must be the only cat in the home. She will play with you for hours on end. She is very energetic and cuddly, but can be mischievous at times (if you have small objects on your countertops, watch out.) I am moving to Raleigh in two weeks and for the health of my cat Kiwi, Poot will need to be rehomed. Poot also deserves to have the full love and attention from an owner that can solely focus on her. Food and cat accessories will be provided upon adoption.

Winnie

Dog, 1.5 years, Female

Winnie is a year and a half mixed breed dog (some kind of retriever for sure, I think!) that was rescued from the streets. She loves to play with other dogs and does well with our kids (ages 6-10). She is very active and loves to fetch. She is house trained and crate trained. She may need some extra time to get used to another dog/animal in the house. She does well with our older dog and chased our cats, but did not attack them. She would love a yard and a family with an active lifestyle and probably do better with medium/bigger dogs. We are making the difficult decision to rehome because my older dog does not tolerate Winnie. We attempted to work with a trainer but the older dog just needs to be an only dog. We want Winnie to be in a loving home where she can run and play. She does have a good bark for anyone that tries to come to the house so if you want a guard dog, she would be a good choice! Once they arrives, they are covered in kisses! She is about 45 lbs, loves cuddles, and treats!

mira.jpeg

Mira

Cat, 4 years, Female

Mira is a beautiful, sweet tabby cat, with a lot of personality. She loves to play with her favorite toys, as well as, deep relax on your lap or sit by her favorite window watching the birds. She is indoor/outdoor, she is litter trained and loves to catch mice and voles. She is almost 5 years old and healthy. We adopted her from someone less than an year ago, so we don’t know a lot about her past history. We wish we could keep her, unfortunately we must rehome her due to allergies.

lincoln.jpeg

Lincoln

Pit, 6 years, Male

This is such a hard decision for me to make, but with a newborn at home, I’ve been feeling extremely overwhelmed trying to balance loving on my baby and giving Lincoln the attention he deserves. Lincoln is a 6-year-old pit mix with the kindest soul.

He is:

Fully potty trained

A lover of long walks, car rides, and naps (he takes several daily!)

Sweet, well-mannered, and thrives on human companionship

Neutered and up to date on all shots

Comes with his flea and tick prevention tag

Lincoln would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention.

I will also be sending him with:

A crate

Dog bed

Harness

Slow feed bowl + mat

Shampoos, combs, wipes, and more

He truly deserves a home that has more time for him than I currently can give. If you or someone you know is interested, Lincoln is available for pickup in Hillsborough, NC. If I can’t find him a home, I will, unfortunately, have to surrender him to the shelter soon. Please share to help Lincoln find his forever home!

snoopy.jpeg

Snoopy

Chihuahua, 1 years, Male

This handsome boy just turned one. He’s sweet, cuddly, and loves everyone he meets. He’s been living with dogs from 115lbs. to 14lbs. He weighs 10lbs. He loves everyone he meets, all dogs, and I’m pretty sure he’d love cats too. He’s very playful - he loves to chase a ball and play tug o war. He’s housebroken, crate trained and loves walks. He’s very loving - he wants to curl up on your lap and lean in. He was bought as a puppy and was a cherished pet of an older woman who is beginning to get dementia. I was hoping we could be his new family but my German Shepherd dog is too rough with him. He’s a wonderful, happy guy and deserves only the best home.

trixie.png

Trixie

Mix, 7 years, Female

Trixie is a wonderful dog who is great with kids and other animals, however, she has been known to dislike being around other dogs. She currently lives on a small one acre plot with my family and the different fowl we keep. She has a very playful personality and is not a big barker. She is spayed with up to date immunizations. Microchip is present. Trixie loves the outdoors but is just as quick to jump in the car for a ride. She is not a very picky eater and loves to get treats with her pets. She would be an awesome family dog or for someone who is looking for a sweet and laid-back pup. Due to our lease being up at our current residence, we unfortunately have to re-home her since the apartment we were able to secure is not dog friendly.

kuppa.jpeg

Kupaa

Lab/Rottweiler Mix, 5 months, Female

Kupaa is a beautiful, affectionate puppy with a big heart and an even bigger spirit. She’s a 50% Rottweiler and 50% Golden Retriever mix, bringing together the loyalty of a Rottie and the gentleness of a Golden. She’s 5 month old, playful, smart, and eager to learn. Kupaa loves to play, explore, and snuggle up once she’s had her fun. She’s full of puppy energy but also has a sweet, loving temperament that shines through in everything she does. With the right family, she’s going to grow into a devoted, joyful companion. Sadly, I’ve discovered a severe dog allergy that’s made it impossible for me to give her the healthy, safe environment she deserves. This decision to rehome her comes from love and responsibility — I want her to have the best possible life. Kupaa is: Healthy and up to date on all vaccinations. Great with people (and ready to socialize more as she grows) Playful, curious, and ready to train

Hairy Pawter

Kitten, 8 weeks, Male

Meet the magical HAIRY PAWTER, an 8-week old orphaned kitten who was rescued from under a shed on a dark and stormy night. This brave little fella has bright golden eyes, soft silky fur, and a tubby little belly that just begs to be tickled. Hairy loves to frolic about the house, scuffling with socks and tussling with toys. After a fun game of quidditch (attacking your broom!), this cuddler will want to nuzzle up to you, tuck himself under your neck then fall asleep. Purr, purr, purr...Before you can say, “Expelliarmus!”, Hairy will cast a spell on you that will have you wrapped around his tiny paw! Give this wee orphan a warm home with your loving family, and I promise HAIRY PAWTER will bring magic to your life — as well as a bit of mischief! "I solemnly swear to make trouble," says Hairy!

peach.jpeg

Peach

Chihuahua Mix, 8-10 years, Female

Peach is a mellow, sun-loving couch potato who’s happiest when she’s napping in a warm patch of sunlight. She’s incredibly food motivated—not because we’ve trained her with treats, but simply because she just really loves to eat! We’ve had Peach since 2020, and she’s been a sweet and quirky part of our lives. Peach has a few medical conditions, including an enlarged heart and tracheal issues that impact her breathing. These require specialized and expensive medical care, which we’re sadly no longer able to provide. This has led us to the very difficult decision to rehome her, in hopes she can receive the treatment and support she deserves. It’s also worth noting that Peach does sometimes have accidents and pees on the couch. We want to be fully transparent so she can find a home that understands her needs and can care for her patiently and compassionately.

Paul's Cat - Bubble2.jpg

Bubble

Cat, 5 years, Female

Hi, my name is Bubble. My current owner has had some serious health issues and has entered assisted living. Unfortunately, that means he cannot take me with him, so I am looking for a new home. I am a 5 year old spayed and microchipped female cat. I recently saw my vet and received a clean bill of health as well as updated vaccines. I am a friendly and curious cat. I love pets and all the attention you can give. I love to play, both with toys, chasers and with my sibling, Squeak. I would be a good cat for your family if you want a cat who will be with you whenever you need a good dose of cat play and loving. My sibling, Squeak is also up for adoption (we are a bonded pair) and I would LOVE to be adopted together with her if at all possible. I hope you will give me serious consideration as an addition to your family.
