freya (4).jpg

Freya

Cat, 2.5 years, Female

Freya is a sweet, very shy kitty. She is a dilute calico. She is about 2.5 years old and I got her as an 8 week old at Orange County Animal services. Unfortunately my allergies and asthma have continually worsened since I got her and I really would like to fine her a good home. She can be a bit bossy about breakfast time and feather toy time, but otherwise has a very sweet disposition.

jazki.jpg

Jazki

Treeing Walker Hound, 8 years, Female

Jazki is a Treeing Walker Hound. 85 pounds. I rescued her from Denver as a pup. She is 8 years old now. She is a great, loving dog but is unable to adapt to my new, much smaller living situation. I've been working with her for over a year to help her adapt. She loves to be off-leash and run in the woods. She needs some land to roam around on, like a farm or ranch. She has been well taken care of and is healthy. She is allergic to bees/wasp stings. Her shots are up to date. She is chipped. It breaks my heart to rehome her but I feel I have done everything possible to help her transition and I am out of options. I have two other dogs that have been able to adjust, but as a hound, she is quite set in her ways and a slave to her nose. She needs a person around her as she has separation issues and acts out destructively when left alone unless she can roam in a fenced yard. She will not be caged.

penelope.jpeg

Penelope

Cat, 2 years, Female

Penelope is 2 years old and a sweet cat. Living situation changed and the home we moved to has two others cats who she does not get along with. Add to that a new baby and noticing some jealousy/territorial issues I have made the decision to rehome her. She would do well in a home with no other pets. I am unsure how she will do with children.

hugo pic.jpg

Hugo

Golden Doodle, 6 years, Male

Hugo is a six year old golden doodle that would do well with an adult family. He loves his people and makes a good companion. We unfortunately have to find Hugo a new home as he has not been coping well with ours and neighbors kids. Hugo is very sweet with trusted adults and loves attention and being near people. Hugo has basic obedience training and knows commands like sit, stay and heel. He loves to play fetch and go on walks. He loves nothing more than time with his people. Hugo is completely health and fully up to date on his vaccinations. Hugo does require a bit of grooming as his coat does not shed much. He would make a loving companion to an adult or teenager household.

dexter.jpg

Dexter

Mini Schnauzer, 8 years, Male

We have a White Miniature Schnauzer named Dexter. Although he is 8 he thinks he is a puppy. He loves snuggles and attention. Belly and butt scratches are a requirement. Great alert dog. You'll know the package is here before the bell and those leaves blowing in the yard could have been a threat. He is also a gold medalist in begging (but doesn't steal food) He really is a sweet boy. Unfortunately I am moving out of state and my son cannot afford to keep him. Hopefully we'll find him a home as sweet and loving as him. We had someone who wanted him but we were just informed they can't take him. This is now an urgent issue. Please contact us immediately if you would like to meet him. Thank you.

max.jpeg

Max

Male

My husband adopted Max about 4 weeks ago. He is microchipped, neutered, and has his shots. We don’t know how old he is but has puppy energy!!! He is a sweet dog - very fast! Likes to play. My husband fractured his hip and broke his rib on Memorial Day and can no longer take care of the dog. No one in his office is willing to take the dog. I do not live with him and I have a dog and his dog’s energy is too much for my 8 year old dog. He loves attention and is quick to learn commands. He is crate trained.

carolina.jpeg

Carolina

Mix,3 or 4 years, Female

Carolina is a very sweet dog. She is friendly, she loves to play catch- but does not always understand to bring the ball back. She enjoys walking on the leash, but these days would prefer to be off leash. She would do great in a fenced in yard or space where she can run around. My brother adopted her from the animal shelter when she was one or two, we believe her previous owners had her inside- but she has spent the past two years as an outside dog. With my work and school schedule I am unable to give her the attention that she needs and I desire to rehome her to a loving family that can!

artemis.jpg

Artemis

Cat, 3 years, Female

Artemis is shy by very affectionate. She loves to play and cuddle. She is complete caught up an all shots and tests. She enjoys any time she can be on a screened in porch, but does not enjoy being outdoors completely. She has never had any siblings, but I think she would benefit from some feline companionship. She is prone to anxiety, but is very kind and loving. Due to my disabilities, I can no longer give her the amount of care and time she needs.

stitch (6).jpeg

Stitch

Beagle Mix, 1.5 years, Male

Stitch is a loving and cute 1.5 year old male beagle mix. He was found with another dog , we named her Lilo, under our neighbors shed without a collar and not chipped back in the end of November. He was under weight and dirty and smelly. We brought him in and cleaned him up and got him healthy. We have loved on him and took him to our vet for all his shots and to be neutered. He loves to be right beside you, he even sits and puts his one paw on your leg when he’s with you. He even follows you around and even waits outside the bathroom door waiting for you to come out. He loves to give hugs and kisses too. Belly rubs are his favorite. He loves to play and will make a game out of anything. He is partially house trained and right now needs to be on a leash or in a fenced in yard as his Beagle instincts like to take him on adventures. He has been chipped because of this. He does love walks and isn’t very fond of car rides yet. He is amazing with kids!! He loves to play and snuggle and sleep with them. He also allows you to pet him when eating and has no issues with touching his mouth. As far as we know he is good with other dogs, we are unsure about cats as we do not have them and we don’t not know what kind of home he came from. I have grown very attached to him while trying to find him a new place to call home but our working family of 5 and our schedules do not provide us enough time to work with Stitch on important training that he needs and the time he deserves from us to give him the attention he deserves. We want to see him leave our home with a family who falls in love with him. He will bring so much joy into your life. I hope you consider meeting him and bringing him in as a new member to your family.

lilo.jpeg

Lilo

Beagle Mix, 1.5 years, Female

Lilo is a sweet little Momma. She was found under our neighbor shed with another dog ( Stitch) at the end of November. Neither one had a collar. She was dirty and underweight. We brought her into our home to clean her up and help get her healthy. We took her to our vet to find she wasn’t chipped but also to our surprise was halfway through her pregnancy. She carried 3 puppies. We followed the rest of her pregnancy and on Dec 23rd she delivered 3 puppies. 2 passed and only 1 survived. This puppy is already spoken for. Lilo is up to date on all of her shots but has not yet been spayed. She is also partially house trained. She is not chipped yet. She is the sweetest little girl. She also likes to be the leader. She is good with other dogs but will bark and run up to them until she gets used to them. We are unsure about cats as we do not have any. She has the cutest prance when she walks and runs. She loves to play and be loved on. She also is on a leash at all times unless in a fenced in area. Her beagle instincts like to take her on adventures. She is such a lover. She always likes to be right next to you and is always giving hugs and kisses. She’s extremely great with kids. She lets you touch her mouth and let you pet her when she is eating. She gets so excited when you give her attention and belly rubs are her favorite. I’ve grown attached to Lilo as we’ve been searching for her forever home. We are a working family of 5 and travel often and just do not have the time she deserves from us to receive the training she needs and to be fully present to give her the attention she deserves. She will be an amazing addition to your family and fill your life with so much love and joy. We want to see her leave our home with someone who falls in love with her and who will provide her with a wonderful home. I hope you consider meeting Lilo and adding her as the newest member to your family.

yoda.jpg

Yoda

Akita, 6 years, Male

His name is yoda and he has been a wonderful dog but, out currently landlord wants to evict us if we don't get rid of him and we cannot find another place that will allow us to rent with him present. He is a strong lover and very gentle. He likes to protect his home by being a large presence and has never bitten anyone. We have 2 other dogs, a cat, and a 6 year old that have never had issues with him (our chihuahua and my daughter jump and climb on him every day) we are looking for a loving home for him ASAP so we can continue to have a roof over our heads but we refuse to take him to a shelter if we can avoid it.

pearl (2).jpeg

Pearl and Peridot

Cats, 2 years, Female

Meet Pearl (calico) & Peridot (tux)! Pearl is a Pisces, born in March 2022, & Peridot is a Leo, born circa early August 2022. They’re both precious little babies who love to cuddle (peridot will literally drool if she’s in the zone), play, & eat snacks. I’ve had these cats since they were born, and have grown very attached but my current living situation doesn’t allow me to continue keeping them, and it’s grown unhealthy & uncomfortable for all involved. Pearl is extremely social and loves to talk. Peridot is a shy girl, but loves to play once she’s gotten comfortable with you! She follows her big sister Pearl around wherever she goes. I think these two would do well being rehomed together, in a house with someone who has a lot of time and space to give them lots of love. If you’re familiar with the show Steven Universe, they act just like their characters! I’d love to stay updated with pictures and vids as they’re getting adjusted to their new home, and it’d be important to set up a vet appointment that we can attend together at the beginning of the rehoming process! Rehoming fee is for both combined, and will go towards vet check up.

catniss.jpg

Catniss

Cat, 3 years, Female

Im looking to rehome my sweet, cuddly girl catniss littlebean. Her favorite things to do are eat, find a warm spot in the sun and sleep for most of the day, or get scratches from her human. She is 3 years old, weighs about 5 lbs, and has not been spayed yet due to her itchiness. She has allergies/dermatitis that makes her very itchy and most likely requires a specialty veterinarian/dermatologist (we’ve seen multiple general vets that have only provided temporary remedies). Rehoming her is a last resort, but I want her to live a full quality life with someone with resources to help solve her skin issues.

winston.jpeg

Winston

Hound Mix, 1 year, Male

I am reaching out in hopes that you may be able to help us as our family goes through the difficult decision to rehome our 11 month old dog, Winston, whom we adopted from a local shelter in November 2023. Winston is a hound-mix (likely pit, and judging by how he uses his paws, maybe boxer, and more!). Winston is fun, energetic (sometimes jumps a bit too much), loves to play ball, chase birds, wonder about our property and is a wonderful companion. He's a dogs-dog, with energy and enthusiasm that makes you smile. He is very smart and seeks a job or duty. He has been easily trained and eager to do these types of activities. However, we have come to understand he has issues with resource guarding and have seen this appear as aggression towards our elderly dog. These issues arise around food, bones, or toys. There have only been a handful of these issues, just with him giving warnings - growling, etc. - but none in the last 4 months since he was neutered. However, unfortunately, while playing fetch 10 days ago, our elderly dog began to chase a ball and Winston started a fight with him. After conversations with our vet and amongst our family, we have decided that we need to find him a home better suited to his needs. We have two very young children and he will need very specific and consistent training to overcome this challenge to provide him the life he deserves moving forward. Our family is just not equipped to provide him this type of support right now. Our children would not be able to guarantee the consistency he needs. We would love to find him a one-dog home, maybe without children or definitely older children that could provide him that structure and support. He has never been aggressive towards us or our children, just our other dog. He is fully up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, he is also neutered. He is crate-trained and spends lots of time outdoors, he loves freedom to roam (we have fenced acreage), but he is also comfortable inside as well.
