Pippy
Cat, 12 years, Female
Her name is Pippy. She is a 12 year old, grey, spayed cat. She is as sweet as can be to everyone and absolutely loves strangers. She loves to be cuddled up next to you and even prefers to sleep with you in bed. Unfortunately, she has become extremely territorial of me with my baby. Since day one she has been scared of our baby girl, and we were hoping that after a few months she would ease up, but now she has hissed at her multiple times and even scratched her today. We know it isn’t out of malice, she is jealous of me and I simply am not able to tend to her as much as I used to and the jealousy is obvious. I have pondered over this for a while, and I just think it is the best thing to do. I am hoping we can find someone to love her like I have.

Bullet
Shepherd Mix, 6 months, Male
His name is Bullet and he is the long lanky brother of three other brothers and three other sisters. He is very smart and just needs a good family to show him love. Our family was going to try and keep the litter and that is proving to just not feasible at the point in time. Her has another brother (Buster) and sister (Sasha) that are also available. He is used to being around a 3 year old child and cats also. He is truly a cuddly goof ball that doesn’t mind running in the yard or stretching out on the couch. I would suggest an owner with some room to run out someone that is active. He would be a great companion for an outdoor family.

Rocky
Australian Shepherd Mix, 4 years, Male
Rocky loves to chew on bones, play, and cuddle. He was born during covid so he gets scared and protective around other people and dogs when outside but when people come into the home he’s very sweet and wants as many back scratches as he can get. We need to rehome rocky because I’m going away to college and my mom works at the hospital for long hours. I don’t want Rocky to be alone and not use the bathroom for long periods of time so we made the hard decision to rehome him.

German Shepherd/Rottweiler Mix, 9 years, Male
I have a 9-year-old German Shepherd Rottweiler mix male his name is Jake he is very loyal loving smart playful and listens and obeys very well he does not use the bathroom inside he will let you know by nudging the door knob with his nose if you have long handles on your door he knows how to pull them up and down to open he has never ever bit anyone he sits very patiently while you give him a bath usually when we let him outside we allow him to go to one area of the yard so we can clean it up and he knows that area he will bark at people knocking on your door but he will stop barking as soon as you tell him to quiet down. He is an inside dog and he is treated with Flea and Tick drops he's never had fleas or ticks. He does have bad breath LOL we try to treat it but it always just comes back. Froggy
Staffordshire Terrier, 5 years, Female
Froggy is an incredibly sweet and loving girl looking for her forever home. She’s a total cuddle bug and adores being around people. Froggy has tons of energy and is always up for playtime, whether it's a game of fetch with a stick or going on walks around the neighborhood. She’s been wonderful living with my 8-year-old sister and I, showing how loyal and gentle she can be with kids. Though Froggy is a playful spirit, she does get a bit anxious during thunderstorms and will need a family who can help her feel safe during those times. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and affection to your home, Froggy might be your perfect match! Froggy has no medical conditions and is up-to-date on her shots. I am currently moving away for grad school and will not make enough to support her and I so I am really looking for someone to love her just as much as I do. She is such a lover and deserves it!

Milo
Retriever/Greyhound mix, 2 years, Male
Milo is an affectionate, intelligent, curious, energetic lovable guy. He weighs about 58 pounds. Unfortunately, my daughter who has a developmental disability adopted him without my knowledge. While a wonderful emotional support dog (he licks tears off her face), he really is too big for her, plus she lives in a very small apartment. She has had him for a year, but her life is more complicated. Rehoming him breaks my heart, but I think we must do this. My "recovering" feral cats are not fond of him, so me taking him is not an option. He loves to run at the Lake in a remote area or at the dog park. He seems to know that he needs to be gentle with small dogs and wrestles with larger ones. Everyone who has met him comments on his eyes, his personality and how handsome he is. The trainer we used is willing to offer a free lesson if within 30 minutes of Chapel Hill so the adopter knows how he has been trained in terms of leash walking.

Lulu
Tennessee Tree Walker Coonhound, 1-2 years, Female
My son found this abandoned dog a few weeks back. We've had her spayed and gotten her shots etc. She's really a loving dog! Our best guess is that she's 1-2 years old, and probably a Tennessee tree walker coonhound. She would make an excellent hunting companion. She's very playful and gets along great with other dogs. We already have enough pets and don't really have the time to spend with her that she deserves. We took to calling her Lulu and seems to fit.

Lula
Australian Cattle Dog, 9 years, Female
Lula is a charming 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog and Pomeranian mix, adopted from Tampa. She’s spirited and active companion who loves long walks and runs, making her perfect for an active household. While she’s not very toy-motivated, Lula has a soft spot for cuddles and anything cozy, often seeking out gentle affection over playthings. At around 25 pounds, Lula maintains a healthy weight as a grazer, enjoying her meals throughout the day. She’s well-trained, having completed a 3-week board and train program with Mr. Obedience in Hillsborough. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations and has complete vet records. Lula can be leash-reactive when walking in the neighborhood, managed well with an e-collar and may exhibit her herding instincts around young toddlers, which is why her current family, expecting another baby, is seeking a new home for her. Lula thrives in a calm, open environment where she can roam a larger yard and stay active.

Coco
German Shepherd, 5 months, Male
We got Coco when he was 4 months old, however we recently moved and the environment just is not great for him right now. He’s just recently started teething, so he will bite and chew on just about anything. He may be a little hostile to you when you first get to meet him, but he loves treats and especially belly and cheek rubs. He’s very playful and is quick to learn tricks. He loves to jump around and has a ton of energy. We’ve attempted to crate train him, however he absolutely hates it and refuses to go into it. Furthermore, he’s not yet house trained, he’s been an outdoor dog since birth. He loves to roam, bite sticks, and jump in any water pool. One down side of him is that he will bark at anyone and everyone, including other animals. We’ve been trying to train him by getting him into contact with more people, but with the lack of time it’s nearly impossible for us.

Taz
Pit Mix, 4 years, Female
Taz is a super lovable family dog, she is great with all kids she has met and other dogs. We are unsure how she is with cats as she’s never been around them. Taz is deaf but that has never stopped her. She is house trained and enjoys cuddles. Taz can be territorial with food when it comes to other dogs but has never shown any aggression otherwise and has never bitten anyone.

Bruno
Mutt, 1 year, Male
I have been taking care of Bruno (he’s been neutered and updated on vaccines) for about 3 weeks now. I have been promoting him for adoption around my college campus (Elon University) as well as Burlington to no avail. Unfortunately our landlord has become aware and has declared that he must be removed by the end of next week. He’s a very demur/friendly mutt, friendly/timid around other dogs, overly curious but okay with cats, no food aggression, and he knows sit/wait/free. He is has a medium energy level and is always looking for a little cuddle. He feels very guilty when he gets in trouble (getting into the cat food) and responds greatly to positive verbal cues and treats. He is happy to go for a long walk or to hang out by your side. He is house trained and mostly leash trained. He still pulls a little to start because of excitement but then settles down to walk next to you. He is good with other dogs (small dogs unknown) and would be best with a sister vs a brother (or he would be fine being an only dog).

Tillie
Purebred Labrador Retriever, 2.5 years, Female
Natalie AKA Tillie, is a purebred yellow lab, age 2.5. Around 62 lbs. We adopted her at 9 weeks old to accompany our six year old pitbull mix. She is great with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. She is good with children and kids but will bark at first until she warms up. She knows her command commands: sit, stay, wait, yes, no, lay down, go potty, paw. She does need some training on the leash as she tends to pull out of excitement. She is sweet and loving, with a ton of energy. She is protective during walks and will bark at strangers. The reason I am rehoming her is that since starting nursing school and working full time, I'm unable to give her the time and energy she deserves. We also moved into an apartment complex a few months back that does not have a dog park, so the only form of exercise she really gets is through taking walks. It's been a hard decision, but I want what's best for her, a family that is able to dedicate time and have a big yard so she can run and play. I will include her personalized harness, bed, food bowl, shampoo, collar, leash. and some toys, etc. I just really want her to go to a good home so she'll be happy and healthy. Recently I have been giving her "Taste of the Wild" dry dog food, but I've also given her Purina One & Diamond brand. She is not a picky eater and will eat anything, but she does tend to have sensitive skin so I always keep that in mind when picking out her food. I also add rice, sweet potato, chicken broth, beef/chicken, etc, as an extra treat & nutrition a few times a week.
